Rice Flakes Porridge


This porridge is healthy and keep your kids filled for a long time. The Rice Flakes you can get in any Indian grocery store. It is called Poha in Hindi, which is available in White and Red color.You can buy any size poha, I usually buy Poha medium from the store.




Ingredients:

Poha medium- 2 tbsps
Coconut milk or milk 0r formula -3 ounces
Jaggery for taste
Cardamom- a pinch
Nutmeg - a pinch

Method:
  • Take a vessel and boil 5 ounces of water.
  • When it boils add the poha and let it get cooked nicely almost like a cooked rice.
  • Then switch off the stove, add the coconut milk or milk or formula and stir while adding jaggery, cardmom and nutmeg.
  • You can blend it in the blender when it cools off or you can give it to your child as it is.
Variation:
  • You can add almond powder if you desire while the poha is getting cooked.I hope your child likes it.
