Sooji Almond Porridge


This porridge can be given for breakfast or for dinner.The use of almond has lot of fiber in it and makes a healthy porridge.

Ingredients:

Fine sooji - 3 tbsps
Almond powder- 11/2 tbsps
Sugar-11/2 tbsps
Milk/formula- 1 ounce
Cardamom-pinch( optional)
Little ghee for frying

Method:
  • Fry the fine sooji in the ghee till it turns golden brown.
  • After removing from fire add the almond powder and sugar and grind it in the food processor
  • Then add the milk and water till it is watery consistency to the ground mixture
  • Heat the porridge till it boils. Stay nearby as it gets heated very easily.You can add a pinch of cardamom to it to enhance the taste.
  • Remove it from fire and you can feed to your dear one. If it is thick add cold milk to it when serving otherwise it will form lumps.
  • If it forms lump don't worry you can grind for 15 seconds in your food processor and it will get it your desired consistency.
Variation:
  • You can add milk/formula instead of water.
